Last Saturday was the first outdoor show of our relatively short summer. After dragging my arse out of bed at 4 am and driving for about an hour I found myself doing that first initial run around the field. Rushing from booth to booth, head down and flashlight blazing I didn't score anything fantastic but here's what I did get.
Two cardboard boxes. The one on the left is an early handkerchief box and on the right a chocolate box with a very attractive young lady. I love her come hither and eat my chocolates look.
A tin of Gopher Death. It was in such good condition and had such a shiny surface that I had to photograph it inside. Too many reflections outside in the sun. I suppose the British equivlant would be Mole Death.
A glass paperweight advertising a funding drive for a tuberculosis (consumption) hospital.
A Batty's mustard pot.
A Mexican Brand Insect Fluid label.
Small needle tin with Nipper and baby.
An enamel/porcelain sign for an American tobacco. A little rough around the edges but dirt cheap.
The second show of the season is tomorrow. With a little luck it won't rain and I will score my first mega item.
