This is another very nice tin and quite rare. I know a smaller version was posted some time ago but I was unable to find it. Manufacture'd by Hignett's of Liverpool founded in 1790 and one of the first companies to brand goods from the 1880's. One of the founder members of the ITC. Set up with Cope's and formed Richmond Cavendish Co, Liverpool to exploit the export trade in unsweetned tobaccos prior to the formation of the ITC. This brand was introduced around 1903 and was withdrawn about 1908. The tin has a few marks but in very fair condition for its age.

Hi hilbert, AL & b b,

Glad you like the tin as I think this brand was short lived and quite rare. Like most tobacco's they did not do a cigarette version of this brand. Was your tin , the one posted a while back??
