Many thanks for all the kind comments folks, I am most appreciative. I will get some more pics on here of the other signs going up in the new kitchen in due course.
The single sided blue & white Watsons amazingly came from Germany. The Nubolic was a wallet-thinning purchase off Skip Smithson but it is a lovely chair nevertheless, Venus from a Dickins auction and the older blue Watsons from a lady in Frome who must have had the biggest collection of irons in the world and it took me three hours to get out of her house once I'd paid up for the chair. That was a long day out. The Restu seemed a poor relation size & decoration-wise so now has a new owner, but I wanted to get them all together for one last time for a photo. All the others are still used as chairs in the kitchen etc.
I'd love to get a Walter Willson 'a seat madam?' chair someday as a replacement for the Restu.... I have only the sign at the moment.
Bacco - the only cig or tabacco enamel-backed chair I know of is that American Piedmont Cigarettes folding one you very ocasionally see on ebay.
As you know Lummox, Winter comes early up here, especially if the wind starts blowing across from Norway, and the money saved on heating with the polythene door linings will not only keep the grandkids mucky mits off the pine, but also go towards my cash offer for your Lawnmover repairs sign one day.
