I have a question for Al (or anyone that can help please). Al you mentioned on a post the other day that you use a scouring pad and acid to remove rust stains from enamel signs.  What acid do you use?

What is the best method for removing rust stains, cleaning and then polishing up to a nice "shine"?  I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Hi there, i use Hydrochloric and Phosphoric acid. They are tricky to use though. Avoid rubbing or leaving for any length of time. Avoid use on detailed, buried or blue signs. Not usre as to the best way of polishing.

Al.
