You don't see many of this manufacture's items about. This company were founded in 1867 and were based in Air St off Regent St, London. Became a branch of the United Kingdom Tobacco Co, Ltd in 1929 and then taken over by Godfrey Philips in 1931.

Black & White were one of their popular brands and also "Red & White" with other brands "Vanity Fair", "Osman Pasha", "The Gordon", "Ramadan" and "Daphanae".

Seen a few of these tins over the years, but don't know if its just me ? but the colour is just so unappealing !!

 Hi Lummox,

I think your quite right it is not very appealing. However, if I go to a fair I have to come back with something  and for a £5 with showcard it's ok.
