They are special, never seen anything like them before. Ask Henk to make an offer, that should scare him away. Gordo |

Hi Henk,
The sign's could be for sale, the only problem is that they come with a wife & 3 kids, the wife is good at cleaning & cooking, but the kids eat like food is going out of fashion. Let me now if still interested. Daryl |

Gentleman, I just realised who Tyers Tavern is, Daryl has got I believe the largest SHELL collection in Australia and the bad news Henk is that Daryl is a buyer and not a seller.
I think if Daryl keeps putting up pictures of his collection, we could be here a while, bring it on !!
I didn't realise how good the detail was in that Shell chariot sign Daryl, awesome !!!

Hi Daryl,
i could live with another wife, but I allready got 2 kids of my own :-)
as you are a collector, i will stop trying to "steel" them away from you. But for just the fun, let me tell you that the first 2 are worth (in my world) about 15.000 a piece and the chariot about double (at least).
if you're interested, i can send you some pictures of rare european Shell signs? Some might even be for sale :-)
thanks for showing the pictures! |

Hi Henk,
You are a better man than me, 1 wife is more than enough for me. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie is basically what I collect in Shell, although I do have a few bits & pieces from around the world. I also collect other fuel companies as well as Insurance, Household & general enamel signs & just Love early pictorials & especially signs made in England that relate to Australia like the "Emu" & "Burgoynes" wine signs. At the end of the day if its advertising, enamel & I like it ( and can afford it ) I will buy it. Thats what I get out of bed in the morning for & got to work for.
Please show some of the Rare & Interesting Shell signs from your part of the world. Always great to look & admire them.
My shed ( the Tyers Tavern ) is a 400 sq meter room built to put my collection in. It is just not big enough, I cant help my self & need a "fix" when ever I can get one. The last property I owned I build a shed, extended it 6 times unitl I ran out of dirt & then had to sell it & start again. This time the "tavern" was suposed to be big enough, but wrong, I need double that. I will post some more phots to show what it is all about.
Happy collecting
