I'm guessing it is right, but I have never seen this sign in the oblong type shape, usually the sides are straight. Let the knowledge flow fellas. Gordo |

Never seen a tapered can before. Looks undamagaed along the lid so its not cut from something else. Quality of finish looks OK too. Nice find!! |

If you look at the spots on the tablecloth, it looks like the distortion in the image is purely as a result of perspective, surely?!!! |

Well if sign-seeker's 'table cloth' theory is correct and it looks like it is, it is not tapered.

Thanks for the input guys, now I'm more confused than ever!!! Must be a good optical illusion, because it still looks tapered to me. Gordo |

The guy has had some top notch stuff. A lot came through Fred Brumby. I know he had moved on some good stuff already including a mint Taylors Pimlico round enamel and a variant of the Frazers removals and an absolute mint fitts. Apparently, he got some superb oil can's. He had a restored dominion which also came from Fred he suggested. I'm guessing the guy knows his stuff? |

Try and obtain a photo of it stood vertically with the camera at 90 degrees to the sign. That should sort it out? |
