 I thought this was a nice tin in exceptional condition for age. Stephen Mitchell & Son are a very old tobacco manufactures and were founded in 1723 at 36, St Andrew Square, Glasgow They became a branch of the Imperial Tobacco Co, Ltd in 1901 .

This brand "Golden Secret" was introduced in 1909 and withdrawn in 1917. So a very short shelf life.
