If that Fry's Five Boys was as good as it looks, you wouldn't part with it would you?!!!

If it doesn't make the right number, it's coming back home and back on the wall.

The reserve is a lot less than $5000 David.

The sign is not mint, as far as chips to the enamel it almost is, two small chips around screw holes. There are light scratches over a bit of the sign, but nothing that detracts from it's overall look.

Hi Fleece77

Can I ask a question...... Why did'nt you list on ebay with a reserve to give you Worldwide exposure, Surely if it sells which I reckon it should the charges would have been lower ?

Anyhow good luck with it lovely sign

Lummox, it wouldn't be the first bad call I've ever made.

As a regular, I'm on a 10% rate which is pretty good

OK 10% is very good !   especially if you have the privilege of not having a fee to pay for placing a reserve.    Over here its often 20% + £7 lotting fee + 1.5 % insurance fee + internet photo fee, + bullshit fee of another 1.75 %  and that as well as the POOR SOD buyer having to pay 20% + vat !!               ..... S**t nearly forgot + another 2% if you use ATG live bidding,....... oh and the small matter of 1.5 % for a card purchase.

Mind you lets be fair auction houses have EXPENSES !! ............. yeh about 50% apparently

Hi Gordo, How did the auction go ?? I had a quick look at what was in it, You had the only good signs, the rest was reproduction, Indian or just crap.

G'day Daryl,

A very flat auction indeed, Studebaker sold for $1100, Newzealand insurance$900, Stuart Norris bought both, the Fry's is coming back home.

Your not wrong about all the crap repo junk, I bought one thing, the Diamond dyes cabinet for $500, it's gonna make a good spice cupboard.

Gordo
