I had made an offer to the seller and they agreed, only to sell it for $100 more than my offer. They never gave me achance to counter offer. I guess you were the one I was cursing for the last 2 weeks. Its a beauty. |

I was going to hit the buy it now price, but took a chance on a best offer bid, only because it was in the USA, I thought it's a good chance no one would spot it there.
Trying to get a refund on freight costs at the moment, he quoted me $340, which I told him seemed very high. When the sign got here on Friday, the paperwork showed freight costs were only $150. I might let $20 under slide, but not $190 !!!

They don't come any shinier than that, do they?!!! Is it an English made one? (Looks like a maker's name in the bottom r/h corner.) Great piece. Well done! |

The bottom third of the sign does have some ghosting in the red that doesn't show up in the photos, but doesn't detract to much at all. I'm sure you guys can tell me who the maker is, appears to be made in 1907. |

Stainton & Hulme Birmingham. Saw it on ebay and just had a gut feeling that either Gordo or David would end up with it. A superb sign just right for the Aussie collector well done. |

Well done, Steve! I've been trying to think what it would stand for, but of course you're absolutely right! |

Hello, Is there any chance of getting a high resolution photograph of the sign and individual parts? I also need the Pantone colour for the red on the sign? I am hoping to reproduce the sign and need a good template. The new sign will always be a reproduction. My email is shiraz07@tpg.com.au Robert |
