I'm thinning out the collection due to downsizing and I am inviting sensible offers for the following enamels before they go on ebay or auction. Over the years, I have posted quite a few showcards and assorted items  which can be viewed in the archive section. If there is anything you may be interested in and I still have it, then make a sensible offer. My email is t.bacco@btinternet.com

(a) Large "Carroll's" of Dundalk. Framed and fitted on backboard measuring 52" x 21" approx. It has had some repair but a rare sign not identified in any of the Street Jewellery publications. This company is more famous for it's Mick McQuaid tobacco.

(b) "Top Mill Suff" manufactured by Wilson & Co Ltd Sheffield. This firm was established in 1737 and their snuffs were very popular. This enamel was manufactured by the Patent Enamel Co Ltd B'Ham is in super condition framed and fitted on backboard measuring 33" x 27". Very Heavy

(c)" B.D.V" cigarettes/tobacco manufactured by Godfrey Phillips Ltd EC1. This is a tin sign and fitted onto a backboard. A few scuffs and marks and quite unusual. The sign was manufactured by Waller Willis & Co. London.33" x 27"

(d) "Garrick" virginia cigarettes manufactured by Lambert & Butler. This enamel was manufactered by Bruton, London N. I think it may have been produced for export due to the Chinese writing on both sided. (Do we have any translators on the forum as my limitations are purely scouse)!! It measures 15" x 11". Condition as shown.

If you would like any further info on any of the items then please email me at t.bacco@btinternet.com and will get back to you tomorrow.

I think the Top Mill Snuff is the one I pulled out of the ground on a derelict allotment garden in Sheffield, around 1978! Only 100mm was sticking out of the ground, and I thought it was only going to be part of a sign, but it turned out to be whole, and I couldn't believe what fantastic condition it was in!

 Hi Signseeker,

The "Top Mill" could well have been the one you pulled out of the ground. However, I have had it over 20 yrs and it is in exceptional condition with no marks except on edges. So, who ever renovated it, made a good job.

In response to the emails, all my items are tobacco or cigarette related and my collection of tobacco/cigarette tins are not being sold although the counter tins are.
