This is an early Michelin showcard I picked up for my collection a few weeks back. i much prefer the image to the metal version, but then again, enamel is king!!

Cheers

Al.

This is a rare Michelin sign. The buyer paid more than anyone else was prepared to pay - that's what we all have to remember at auctions. But its what they wanted and they could afford it, good luck to them. I may have paid over the odds in the 80s but don't regret it - they have given me some memorable days and I look at them every day.

I also think the motoring enamel collector has deeper pockets, as most collect to enhance

their classic car garage recreation and 10k isn't a great deal when their car/s are worth

several tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions!
