Some lovely signs there. Thanks for posting. I've always kept an eye out for a nice Woodbines packet, but haven't seen one as good as yours for sale, BB, in nearly 30 years! (I saw someone carrying away a mint one at the first Winternational I ever went to!) |

Hi am new to this site and joined because of my interest in a sign that I have had for the last twenty years. This Wills's Autograph sign measures 61" long by 15.5" wide and was in a village close to me for most of its life.
I've seen lots of other smaller signs for these cigarettes but none as big as this one. Is it unusual? |

Also not seen one like that before and is bit different to the usual strip sign so yes is unusual - is still a written as opposed to pictorial thou so limitied audience for this plus large size can be a problem for some as needs to be displayed etc .. is a nice thing . |

Thank you for all the replies I have received - it's been very interesting to hear your opinions on it. I believe it was made in about 1917 - can anyone confirm this? It's marked Imperial Enamel Co. Birmingham. Thanks Richard |

Picked this one up recently at a Tunbridge Auction. Sorry if I was bidding against anyone, but I really wanted it as it is one of the best examples I have seen, the yellow is still unfaded.

Hey there. I have had one of those Autograph strips years and years ago. Can't remember seeing another.
Mick , I can get you a Honey Cut but the seller who has it isn't cheap!
Cheers
Al.

Go for it Ciggy, I've been offered this one before, but the bottom 1" has been cut off, so I'm not super interested. Also the bank account has run dry anyways! |
