 Hi hilbert,

A "Super" tin. Brand introduced by Godfrey Philips in 1922 and withdrawn in 1929. A very short life indeed.

Tin looks earlier than 1920s to me.

Phillips issued " Chinese Series " cards with Volunteer cigs in 1910, perhaps the brand had 2 production runs ??

Yes, ended early but apparently not immediately sold, buyer was aleted to it's potential value and withdrew it.

Ahh. Obviously the seller not as resilient as the owner of the recent King Rufus on there who was no doubt bombarded!
