Surely if you have just helped yourself to something that is in someone's barn, that is theft. And then you post on an open forum bragging about it, seems an odd thing to do, but what makes it worse is that you then go on to sell the stolen sign. If someone was to go in to your garage and help themself to a sign off of your wall would you mind?

Well Banjo Boy it's all down to you. It's how you worded your initial entry as you have said. Better to be upfront in the first place.

banjo boy, Didn't want to offend, or PISS you off,but if you re-read your initial post you have worded it to sound like you were stopping to spend a penny, in the middle of nowhere and found the signs in a barn.
No mention of buying the signs, the farmer or that he had contacted you.
If the post was worded in such a way to make it sound exciting, I am sorry I missed that.
Regards
Wayne
