Looks like the 5 boys is a repro to me. Anyone else wish to comment?

 Spoke to them today , they are going to post further picture of it on website , looks v suspect .

Au Contraire I think its the real deal.From what little bit you can see of it you can just make out JSFry Bristol at bottom left and other wording bottom right. I think its the 30 x 22 version judging by the Colmans on top of it.Hope its not egg on face time tomorrow but I just think its right.

Hi Marcus - I do not doubt your confidence but my eyes were particularly drawn to the back of the sign. I've never seen Edwardian signs with that uniform grey finish before, even if you discount the 21st Century rusting. As Al says, do not buy!!!

Never buy at auctions Steve  always silly money. So the sign was a copy of an original meant to deceive in other words not a repro a fake.

They still made £130 though !!!

In mitigation I only looked at the first picture on screen of suspect 5 boys sign, did not realise until Mr Fuller told me tonight that there were several more photos to look at.  Not very proficient with computers I,m afraid.The sign could barely be seen on that first image.I,m sitting in the corner with my Dunces hat on now!

I'm sure that 5 boys + oxo is now on ebay 121221457072  !!!
