Silver badge , hallmarked 1929, purple with a flower & " AD ASTRA "

Don't know if it's of any help, but it could be something to do with the RAF, whose motto is Per Ardua Ad Astra.  Or it could be a masonic badge from the Ad Astra lodge.

Hey Up Ross,
Found a bowling club founded in 1922 in Brighton/Hassocks - with this name.
Ad Astra means 'To the Stars'
Per Ardua Ad Astra translates as 'Through Adversity to the Stars'.

I think its nowt to do with RAF like you do. And the badge does look like a bowl.....???
