 Hi Folks,

First off great website, wish id found it earlier as it would have saved me hours of searching Google. Ive got a couple of large signs i wish to sell as ive got a new garage and havnt the wall space for them any more. Also im a bit perplexed as to where is the best place to sell them. Im a bit worried about putting them on ebay after reading some horror storys. So where do you good people buy and sell from ?

First up is the famous "Frys five boys" measures 30" by 22" . Finding it very hard to find a value for this as searching Google came up with many different prices.

Dont know how to get the picture links to work here but if you copy and paste the first one then use the "prev" button on photobucket you should be able to scroll thru them all.

Next is a "Puritan soap" measures 47.5" by 18". Had very little luck tracking down any info on this one.

Any help with prices would be great and ive registered a seller account here if you think this is the best place to sell them. Im not trying for best ebay prices just want a fair price.

Looking forward to leaning lots from this website

Many thanks,

Richard.

Hi Richard,
A lot of us on this site buy and sell here but most of us use Ebay.
Unfortunately both of your signs are in poor condition, which drastically affects price. The Frys 5 boys is a classic but the boys are very faded and two major dings go through the image.
Personally I would wait a few days to see if anyone wants them here then put them on ebay with low start price and let them find their mark.
Neither sign is valuable in this condition.

Thanks Jez, The signs where stored outside for many years before i got them, condition never really bothers me that much when im buying as long as i think they will look good in the garage but i know when selling condition is important. I`ll do as you say and give them a while then list them on the dreaded ebay. Had a good read thru the forums here and am learning lots, never knew places like this existed on the internet.
Richard.

Puritan £20 -£30 . Five boys £150 due to the conditions of each sign.

Thanks David, got someone local coming to have a look at the 5 boys and i was thinking about £150 myself, decided to keep the Puritan and have a jiggle around to find some wall space for it as i really like it :)

I agree, I particularly like the style of writing on the Puritan.
