It continues to irritate me enormously that items go missing at Shows and I have a resolve in me to catch the culprit/ culprits concerned and will have absolutely no hesitation in publishing both NAME and a PICTURE if I can obtain one.

We need to stamp out thieving from what is a generally amicable and close community of devoted collectors.

Elsecar w/e
A TIN and a pipe went missing from Saturdays Unreserved auctions.
I announced this before Saturdays sale, and also on Sunday (when another pipe went missing - but methinks it got mixed into another group lot - next time cling film over the top).

Today we have received an anonymous package, sans post mark, with the missing tin inside.

IN FUTURE
I am looking at backing up the current Elsecar surveillance camera system for our own events and have put forward my ideas to BMBC for approval.

BEWARE
If you suffer from 'light fingers' please take note.

A VERY big thank you to the person who kindly returned it and saw some common sense/ found inner good will. As a teacher it is far better to educate/ teach than merely remonstrate.

Well, sorry Lummox - but YES - far better to have it back, than not.

In education terms it is a result..... tolerance in teaching - when does a bastard become NOT a bastard?

Course you can argue otherwise ..... itsimply means we can re-offer the tin and interesting to see what it makes to calculate if the 'effort' was worth it?

I will endeavour to persue my aim of catching someone red handed and make Elsecar the hardest place to nick from/ the safest place to 'stand' - meanwhile watch this space!
