Visited this pub the other day. It was restored in the 1980's and they have thankfully kept most of the Nouveau features.

Nice to see its still there, Chris and I used to go see Ruby Turner play there in the early seventies, there were some fabulous gold leaf Whiskey signs, one had a gold harp on it and another a scene with a shield, Mitchell and Butlers I think. Next time you are in the area go in the Prince of Wales in Moseley, my old watering hole - there are some great Irish Whiskey mirrors in the barback. And if you like Tolkien go sit in the back bar, his favourite spot - a bit before my time though.
