 I took this musket in a trade yesterday against a colt revolver,,its a 70 calibre and was made by G LUZERN IN SWITZERLAND IN THE 1840S,,it has a unique way of stripping down,[ no bolts on the bands ] it bears the mark of quality and is as good now as the day it was made.

 After further investigation I have found that this musket is earlier than i first thought,,it was made for the swiss army in 1777 as a flintlock,,it was converted to percussion in the 1840s as were many quality muskets,the liege stamp of the 1840s is clear to see on the barrel along with g luzerns stamp.
