 I know its none of my biusness what anybody else wants to pay for a certain sign,,but i was gob smacked when i saw the price of this none pictorial sign go through on Ebay..Its a nice looking sign and all the best to the proud new owner but alot of doe i thought..

Don't forget it was actually two signs attached to a frame, and probably an unrecorded small size / format and colour combination, and hence extremely rare in the motoring collectors' eyes.

I was outbid on it, made the classic mistake of sitting there bidding at the auction end bidding, It wasn't well described at all in the listing. I was hoping it was one of those that had slipped under the radar

The winner at any auction, is the person who is prepared to pay more than anyone else. I have said this before but its important - especially if you are going to sell that item one day. You could leave everything to the kids, if you have any. I definitely paid too much for some signs back in the 1980s.
