Dear All
We have an auction this saturday of 340 lots, which includes over 200 enamel signs and a selection of original packaging. Within the signs, highlights are a very good Frys Tom Brown sign and a Mazawattee leaf sign. Many reasonable signs at the other end of the spectrum. Something to appeal to all budgets. Well worth a look. Everything is fully illustrated at www.chippenhamauctionrooms.co.uk |

Maybe because it was the only decent thing in there? Nice little sign but could think of a good number of other signs you could buy with that kind of dosh. The Ellimans off of Ebay the other week would be one. Cheers Al. |

Cheers Al, What was it listed under, or was it poached early?? I have a search in the UK for enamel signs and signs on Ebay, so don't know how I could have missed it.

Just over £2,100, and it went the distance, Gordo. Quite a hefty pile of 'not solds' in the auction, plus a few still listed with thier estimates, which may not have made it out of the starting blocks either. Most of the quality stuff found new homes though. |

Thanks for that good news Steve, I feel even better now. The funny thing is, a couple of weekends ago I actually googled Ellimans embrocation, I went through a lot of pages and only came up with old auction results. I am still stumped as to how it didn't come up when I searched Ebay, I have even just done an Ebay search of completed items with the name Ellimans and it still doesn't show???
Let the search continue!! ( this could be an unfulfilled search)

There was not only the Elliman's on Ebay recently, but there was another in an auction too, two or three months ago. (Might have been one of the Chippenham auctions?) Quite nice condition, but the outer white border had either been cropped off or painted over! |

Re. the Ellimans Gordo - it was a UK posting only so tthat MIGHT have excluded it from coming up on your searches? You'll have to get yourself a UK Agent to look for you !!! |

I don't know Steve, my search is actually for the UK site. Thanks David for the listing number, the sign was in pretty good nick.
