Great to see you Cookie & Cookie Sr, almost didn't recognise you.
Al was good to his word, lots of beverages, but forgot the Gazebo, never the less a great show, lovely weather and plenty to buy.
P.S Steve Burton, managed to make both me & Al blush with his birds and the bees conversation - hard to do :)

Crosse & Blackweel plaque - £4,800 hammer.

The thieves are all around us - but in truth it could so easily be the same light handed person around most shows.

Rest assured AB WILL continue to add more CCTV stuff in 21 and WILL end up catching - then naming and shaming!!! It aint clever, funny, or 'cricket' in a tight knit community of collectors!

I torture myself putting on as well run, friendly and enjoyable events as possible - but folk just bite off the hands that feed them. I chased to arrange the camping - £7 per person per night - toilets right beside them, parking beside - chippie across the road, pizza place, small supermarket, pub that does food ...... then a number of folk camped but refused to pay Vicky as they didn't think it was worth £7 - but used it? I will name and shame unless ALL pay up (& yes, we counted how many were in Friday AND Saturday. No pay - no come to Elsecar ever again - simples.

Sorry to hear about the thefts Jez and Al, this must have spoiled what otherwise was a really excellent event. I thought there was some wonderful and rare advertising on show and I bought some nice bits as usual. It really amazes me that even after collecting old advertising for more than 40 years there is still great stuff I have never seen before at the Summernational - thanks to one and all - Regards Richard

Here here Batley..... just amaaaaaaaaaaaazing how the Nash brings out such exceptional pieces/ items never seen before, long may it remain so exciting.

Buggar ter put on, & I dunt get much of a chance to walk rarnd - but crikey the show stands alone in our calendar, & I'll bust a bloody gut to keep it that way fer as long as I can.

The £2k ATG ad certainly drew more/ fresh faces - & they spent well (many said "we will be back in October"). The upcoming array of transferred toilets, & sinks, sewing machines, typewriters, letter boxes, more tins etc will help keep it well supported.

ATG agin in October - plus a few extra ads elsewhere - this is VERY expensive, but means must - keep the stalls FULL & the visitor numbers on the increase ..... difficult times ahead. When the going gets tuff ..........
