 Right.

The day the inlaws came to stay with me and the heavily pregnant wife, the mice deicded to chew through the plastic elbow joints underneath the boiler upstairs. The results were some water, a lot of panic, lamshades falling off the ceiling followed by a ceiling collapse in the downstairs loo.

Rodents had moved in after the two killer cats moved out from next door. We then laid poisoned bait to stop the midnight scrabbling behind the skirting boards. The bait makes them thirsty so they then chew through your pipes.

We then bought 3 sonar scarers, and we now have two freshly dead but very cute furry rodents, paws up, in the airing cupboard.

Taking dead things out of the hosue is a 'blue' job for reference fellas!

Cheers

Al.

I threw a sack of kindling wood in my van today and next thing I know there's mice jumping out in every direction . I managed to get a couple out but wasn't sure how many were left so now i've set traps + left poison for them before they start eating into the vans wiring !!!

You can't beat the old-fashioned traps, with a good spring on them. Don't get the so-called 'humane' ones that just box them in, our local population just chew their way out of them. A nice Christmas chocolates selection box in the plastic containers will concentrate their minds for a few weeks, just keep the traps nearby and start the cull !!

I think I should have made this more collecting specific. Needless to say we can all imagine the damage a flood will do in a collectors house and what a fire would do as the mice had chewed the cables as well.

There seem to be more and more of them so will go for traditional traps and give them a go.

Also, rats and mice go mad for chocolate. i once had a Fry's cabinet that had holes gnawed in its doors!

Cheers

Al.
