hello Ross, its a SMITH & WESSON,NUMBER 2 ARMY,MADE IN 1861,one of the first black powder metalic cartridge revolvers to come on to the market,,due to the civil war s/w could not keep up with the demand,,they were widely copied by american companys also copied in france and belgium,,the british ran the blockades to supply the south with copied arms due to their interests in the cotton and slaves markets.,,,,this is a genuine 32 rimfire early s/w,gen george armstrong custer bought two,,wild bill hickok was carrying this model when he was murdered in deadwood aug 2 nd 1876,,it has a huge provenance due to the famous people that used them,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,A grand will take it.

Yes Richard, the trigger is in the normal place, these models had no trigger guards known as a spur trigger, the idea was a man could use it with a gloved hand,,these were carried as a second revolver,,a hideaway,,could get a man out of trouble or in trouble as the case mabey.,,,,,Heres another spurr trigger s/w 32 revolver from the same era,,,,£475 will take this one.

Hi enamels1000,

I don't know if you've seen this or would even be interested, but I thought of you when I saw it! (Flyer advertises '30 Colts....')
