Struggling to find much Mick. However they were very active in 20s and 30s. Palmers Green is a suburb of North London. Bruton seemed to make a lot of motoring signs too,
sorry thats my lot for now!

 My BP motor spirit by Bruton is dated July 1924.

Very interesting, so they officially stopped in July 1946. They probably died from the poor H &S standards of the time!

 Hi Mick,  Although the JBS partnership was officially dissolved in 1946 I believe the new owners continued trading under the same name.

The original partnership was dissolved in 1946, the company was then sold to The Ascot Gas Water boiler Co ,and continued trading as James Bruton and Sons Limited  right up to at least 1966.
