WOW !
..IVE JUST TOLD ME KIDS THAT XMAS IS CANCELLED THIS YEAR..."LOL"..YUST IMAGINE WINNING THE LOTTERY THIS WEEKEND AND NOT EVEN BATTING AN EYE LID AT BLOWING, LETS SAY £6.500 ON AN ENAMEL..NOW THATS COMFORT..
An absolute belter but in my humble opinion its not far off its price now. They have to be pretty special to climb above the 2 to 2.5k mark. I'm sure its rarity will give it a hefty lift though.
here's a photo, fantastic sign!!!
Great sign! (I was told years ago, this was Fry's first enamel sign, but can't confirm that.) Only ever seen a couple of others; one good; the other heavily restored. I haven't checked, but what does the registered number date it to?
heres a frys my son alan dug from an edwardian dump in the early 80s.
complete with bullet hole
According to Trixontelstar it's 1891
I had agreed to buy the sign privately last week but cheque wasn't cashed.
Put me in a bad mood I can tell you!
I think it may do a little bit more. Nice to see it with a good photo. All I had was a 5kb text image on my phone.
Cheers
Al.
