Next show we can all look forward to is the ever busy & bustling Alton…. here is the initial opening thread to promote this very firm Southern favourite.

As part of BBR's ongoing efforts to promote our great hobby we advertise ALL upcoming specialist events on BBR's own website (which advertise in BBR magazine - 150,000+ hits per month, & rising), as well as the forums, Facebook…. & @ every Show we attend. Unequalled/ value for money service, methinks?

Alton Fair MUST be good - it lures BBR down there every time…. unless it could just be Mick Wells 'charm'?

Sorry to hear about the pouring rain fp - glorious sunshine here at Elsecar …..

As to the show itself - fantastic for BBR - some wonderful consignments handed in for future sales - we always come home fuller than we go to such. Even managed to capture a few shots for a good little Show report. Only thing that spoils Alton is that grumpy fella hiding behind the refreshment counter - I just give him the usual Northern banter…. he did smile at one point - but I wasn't quick enough to catch it on camera.

A few absent faces - Clive & Kae away, no Dave & Ian Hunter, Gordon Litherland couldn't make it (he will be @ Cirencester). Sad news about Russ's wife - he put on a brave face - full marks to him. I'll miss our little natters when we got a few minutes at shows.

I think KT used her 'charm' to attract a few extra folk up to the Elsecar 25/ 26th April w/e too, several said they're planning their first trip to a National in July as well - remember we have camping back on the field opposite.

We didn't have a brand new magazine on sale - but all the back copy bundles went fairly early on (exceptional value, & avoiding the dreaded postage), but the April 25/ 26 catalogue was very much 'drooled' over - a few even purchased copies - "wowsers", and a few left absentee bids.

We also had BBR's Cirencester 'On the Rd' catalogues (1st 65 lots - other 15 JUST for Showgoers next Sunday - canny?). The pdf can be downloaded (for FREE) off; wwwonlinebbr.com (you must register onto the site & go thro' the shopping cart even tho' its free - order all for the yr whilst yer at it (all FREE).

Just unpacking this morning …. and a few other deadlines before re realign (unpack & repack) for Cirencester next Sunday.

NEXT Alton Show is November - ad vert below…. see you all there in that wonderful Southern sunshine (it always shines at Alton).
