Not quite firmed up on the 2 sale dates - but it is going to be an important landmark sale catalogue....

It's been a toil - but there's light at the end of tunnel with this important catalogue (covering 2 sales).

Easy to 'diss' the Guinness stuff but I think many folks will kick themselves after when they realise the regional rarities slotted in here…. hey ho - there's soooooooooo much here - enuff to satiate the most jaded long time collector, the beginner, or the bargain hunter chasing bulk lots to resell.

Catalogue pre-ordering advised - before it goes to print - one catalogue covers both sales.

Good new is the 2 part Guinness cataloging is complete at last, phew! Just the photographs to complete & catalogue to put together now.

To celebrate this milestone we couldn't resist the temptation to drink a spot of the 'black stuff' with lunch from the Brambles Tearoom, and the drink from the Market Hotel - all the showcards tell us it is "good for you!"

The catalogue, all 84 pages, has been ….. a bitch. Too big for standard printers to fold & stitch/ drop the paper thickness/ take pages out - no - aaaaaaaaaargh!!

Per page this looks like THE most expensive publication BBR has ever undertaken/ endured…. as bad as print per run digital units! Life is but a learning curve - certainly the best £10 buy for a long while?

Am now back in the hot seat (a week after the sale) after conquering the Old Man of Hoy - bloody brilliant, awesome, tense, nerve wracking, exciting, scarey….. now down to earth with a bump!!

Will check over the Guinness results sheet then post up here & elsewhere.
