 HONOURABLE EAST INDIA COMPANY ] in 750 bore,,Its not the norm for me to buy these type of pistols,but the condition of this one is totally original even down to the last bolt and screw,,all correct,,fully stamped octigon barrel,,captive ramrod,,correct sights,,fully stamped lock,,strong springs,,beautiful wood with no splits,,queen victorias crown stamped on the lock,,,,,,hang on a bit I am just off for a cold shower.

That's a real beauty. Was this old technology for it's day. I think they were already making revolvers by 1850?

 Hi hilbert,it was a case or sticking to the old tried and tested,,it would be a few more years before the British army would change to metallic cartridges.

 The better off officers bought their own percussion revolvers,,ADAMS,,WEBLEYS,as a rule,some bought colt navys,right up to the boer wars,,the army supplied enfield and martini rifles.
