I picked this up on Saturday at Elsecar, just finished cleaning and glazing it . No idea where it's going to go. Cheers Broadie.

Lovely early thing, and good job sorting it out. There are a series of these. I've seen about 8 different ones so far.

 Hi Broadie,

I like your "Cope's" framed showcard. Nigel is right, there are a number of variations of this showcard and have posted a picture of mine which sadly has now gone into the auction.

Hi Bacco I saw your showcard in the sale room , there are one or two in the sale that I am interested in, we will have to see on the day. I particularly like the Cope's for featuring the grand old man of golf Tom Morris who won the open a few times,as did his son Tom Jr.

I noticed in a previous Bamford's auction that some of these were sold but the wording of Cope's tobacco was painted out so were sold just as golf prints. Interesting that we collectors home in on the tobacco whereas a lot of people would just rather see the sporting side! Either way they are still lovely old prints and I am glad I was able to rescue this one.

Cheers Broadie
