I asked the seller whether he had any pictures of the sign before it was restored, if not a description of all the repairs done. This was the helpful response  " The sign had a few holes as part of the repair it had another sign fitted to the back so the back is in perfect condition"

Well that was helpful, it had holes repaired, 1, 3, 5, 10 holes?? But it's good  to know that the back is in perfect condition, who cares it's the back of another sign, must have been some big holes.

Hi Gordo

I have actually seen this sign in the flesh about 3 years ago,  It was really bad and it had been poorly restored then. All I can say is any buyer will be sorely disappointed at anywhere near its opening price.

Hope this may help

Thanks guys,

Just as I suspected, the damage must have been pretty major.

Cheers Gordo
