 Hi guys,

I'm after some opinions on the westward ho sign pictured....collectability, value, that sort of thing, before I pull the trigger and buy it!

Can't remember how much this is for sale for but has been there for a long time. Usually an indication it's over priced. (Think it's nearer £200 than £100) Then there's the allegedly un-popular smoking connection.

I think the ' unpopular ' smoking thing is a total smokescreen !! smoking advertising is as popular as ever. Personally I think people see it as nostalgia not something that is frowned upon and possibly going to give you lung cancer. Fortunately if you buy a nice smoking related item or enamel you don't have to huddle outside an office building door in the pi**ing rain !!

I agree with Carters on the price, if its near £200 too much IMHO. If you really like it I reckon about £140 is top wack

Cheers lummox

Agreed re smoking advertising being popular .. with the gradual removal of cigarette advertising .. plain packets (?).. newsagents not able to have packets on show .. etc then over time these cig signs with eye candy colourful packets on will become more desirable.

Alan, next time you speak to Mike, ask him who encouraged him to use you as the Auction House to sell his collection!
