Its good to see that some people have not lost their sense of humour.

At least they are not expecting much of a return (£15 start bid).

Will someone buy it then 'restore' this piece of scrap metal ?

I'd pay £15 for it. It might be smashed up but it's still interesting and seems to be the remains of a rare sign. Fragments of interesting lettering remain.

 Here's one you might like then. I saw this at the Detling Antiques Fair, last weekend and couldn't belive it when it sold. Its now on eBay 222937305710
