Is there much of a call for foreign tins? Came across a smallish cigarette tin circa 1905 with nice image of Egyptian chap looking out towards pyramids but the wording was in French. Priced at £15 but don't know if that's good price?

 Hi Carters,

There are collectors of Egyption tobacco and cigarette tins. I only collect UK manufactured tins some of which are made for the Egyption market. Does it have manufacturers name or can you post a picture. £15 seems a very reasonable sum.

Got the tin, because I couldn't see it properly in the cabinet, turns out it's an Egyptian Lady sat smoking overlooking the Nile and pyramids. Manufacturer is Dimitrino and Co and tin contained 25 Cigarettes Luxor.On the bottom of the tin is a nice image of the Dimitrino factory. There is also an import label dated 1931.

There are a few Dimitrino tins. Here's a couple with a woman looking out over the nile.
