Never noticed one of these before. Guess it's for an overseas market?

 Hi hilbert,

Two nice tins and still fairly common. R. Lloyd & Sons was founded in 1875, based at Bondman Corner, Clerkenwell Rd, London EC 1 not to be confused with H.C Lloyd & Son of Exeter although brothers each ran their own operation. Lloyd London became a branch of Cope Brothers. Note: Bondman Corner, named one of their tobacco's (Bondman).

Both "Skipper" brand and "British" brand introduced in early 1900 but were still going up to 1970s which is why you still see their tins. Have posted a couple of my tins.
