Hi to all of you guys,

I would like some more information about this codd bottle.

Hi Maarten

Pretty sure that a Sykes Mcvay patent, some of which are very sought after. More a form of ' bullet stopper ' than a Codd ( If I'm wrong the true bottlers will soon put you right )

Chopped a rare Guildford one in half once cause I hit a bottle 1/2 inch under the surface on an old dump and just knew it could'nt possibbly be anything old that close to the surface. How wrong was I !!

Hi there,

If its a rare local one, you could be quids in. Not many companies used the sykes Mcvay patent.
