I dug up this Coca Cola sign next to the foundation of a 1930s-1960s gas station where I like to metal detect.  I love signs! Unfortunately the condition is terrible, I am thinking of stapeling it to a piece of thin wood and just repainting it but I know that ruins the value, but is there even value on something like this?? Its condition is absolutely terrible!!

Sorry to be blunt , you are correct , it has no value . Stick it back in the hole from whence it came LOL.

Whoa easy there TRIXON, its a cool little piece, don;t steal his thunder. I think it wodu be a good barn hanger if it was put on a piece of wood and painted, why not??? It will loo better than half the repops out there !

Don't be daft Mick. I'm not trying to steal his thunder , just advising him to give it a decent burial .

It's  not a collectors piece
Value is irrelevant .
What is relevant is that you found it .
Hang it somewhere , as is ( not repainted ) , garden , shed , office , and enjoy it .
That way you remember the day you found it .. Well done , ColtonB

Give it a good wash, Then wax it.

Back it on some ply with a vintage frame

Will look just fine!

I think you should clean it up, straighten it out a little bit; maybe give it a polish, mount it on a nice bit of wood and then bury it as deep as you can in a field.

Being diplomatic : This interesting sign shows signs of wear.
