Bought as a project but decided to let someone else have a go .... confused how the gloss on enamel can be so good whilst the bottom so eroded (?) .. does anyone have complete version of sign to show btw .. ?
David, it’s too nice a thing to chop to bits ... surely... (!?)

I've a decent example of this Frys sign(which i'll get my "office manager" to post tomorrow) It's missing 2 1/2 inches off the bottom . It measures 12 x 12" . It also reads JS FRY + SONS bottom left, and PATENT ENAMEL CO bottom right. However , I think you're on a hiding to nothing whatever you choose to do with it . Probably would suit a newbie collector best I feel . It's too good to chuck for sure ,but it's always going to niggle you that missing portion at the bottom.
I would ABSOLUTELY chop it. I reckon you could get another inch of blue on the bottom by doing a clever "fake" chip where the top of the big "C" is. Whats the argument for keeping as-is? Looks like a pile of Spence monkey crap at the moment. Cutting it would make it so much more presentable.
Picture would be good Marcus .. this one is 14inch wide, 10inch tall so I’m guessing it would be 14x14 or 14x12 (?) in past life -
Apologies . Toby is correct , it does measure 14" x 12". it's on a rafter in the garage and I only glanced at it last night. Picture to follow later, all being well .
Christmas day at micks....😂😂
