Used to sell a lot of this sort of stuff to Australia but that markets not too great now. Falls in category of rare but not massively desirable!

With so many repro's of mobil, it's killed the original market, I began selling all my high end automobile signs when the fakes started appearing. In bangers and smash tonight one sign collector bought four signs & all were repro.

Watch this space, I've been told by a local auctioneer that the price of oil bottles will nose dive Downunder. He says some of the repro's coming out of India are scary !!

Watch out for Bangers & Cash - I got interviewed after buying an original Esso sign. The majority of the signs offered are repro / painted wood, and there's a lot of interest from the walls on the lots!!!

If you've been watching all the episodes I'm sure you will have seen the same signs time after time, as the clips used are taken from different sales. Anything decent has a hidden reserve and gets another outing until sold - now there's a familar tale!! Tomorrow's auction includes a Firestone England & Wales map which I'm sure has had at least two previous days out.
