I used to walk over that road down to the beach when I was a kid. Almost ?0 years ago? The penny arcades were great in those days.

Difficult to put a price on MINT signs, how often do you see them? If you want to own the very best you have to be prepared to pay eye-watering prices... Red eyes all round! |

I guess I will just have to be satisfied with the one I've got for now - even if it has had minor restoration.

I would be more than happy with that one Deegee, can barely see that is had restoration, plus looks like chromo printed on the bottom and in my opinion have the most vibrant colours. Let me know if you find a ever find a mint one as would be happy to put an offer in for yours! |

Will bear it in mind. There's just a small amount of touching up to a couple of the letters and around the edges - all done by an expert we all know! |

Always rated the Zebra as one of the all time 'Classics'. How did we get from milkmaid's to Zebra's on this thread? Sorry - my fault! Deegee that Milkmaid sign is excellent and looks to have a lovely gloss. Anyone remember the milkmaid that was discovered in the village store at King's Cliffe? I remember the guy who found it. Apparently it had got lodged behind the shop counter and was only discovered when the counter was removed. it was said to be in MINT condition? Where is it now? FB |

I think there are more than 2 versions. This one was on ebay a while ago. Different layout, image, wording and I think dimensions. This by Patent Enamel, not Chromo.

That's a nice sign there banjo boy,I would agree in saying the eBay version is earlier than the chromo one. |
