I've used a newish piece of metel that I had in the back of the shed Spence,  short bursts with the mig welder seems to do the trick as the argon gas keeps the metel cool.

Now that the nights are drawing in I thought that I would have another go at the restoration project......so put the rust killer on the motor oil sign and then started on this John Ginger that has been kicking around for a while.
