Frank Mason was a fantastic maritime artist and he also did some great posters for the railways.

Hi cherryboy,

Have not come across that one before, it is a nice one.

Have posted a few more of my "Hero" items. It is interesting to note that neither the "Hand Made" tin or the "Gold Filter" tin have either HMS Britannia or HMS Hero incorporated into the design. That may well be because they are fairly early tins. I know that "Player's" did various designs the rarest being a dark blue version which held gold-tipped cigarettes. Has anyone got a sample tin to show us. Maybe FZ might be able to help us!! The other items include a glass change - tray, glass - paperweight, dummy tobacco pkt & tin and large shop display pkt. This more or less concludes my Player's "Hero" brand items and unless anyone has anymore, will move onto other popular brands since it seem to attract so much interest. Thanks to all who have contributed.
