Hi Jez

I never noticed that dot under the Y. Thanks for the information and yes I do tend to analyze things a little too much but if I caught my child polishing the floors while wearing a tin lid on her head I would be a little worried.

You are right about my collection Jez. It will never approach the impressiveness of some of the more specialized collectors but I do have a wide variety of bits n' pieces.

Heres a polish tin that I'm particularly fond of, its auto related and early which floats my boat, although I know most of you guys are "very domesticated" I hope you can appreciate it still...

Yes, everything in my collection has its price, nothing is sacred...(the Mrs included) , this one is on packaging page of my site towards bottom.

Here is an example of South African origin...........I have also included an original shop display sign/card for the product.

Note the size of the label on the tin and the reference to wartime emergency packaging!

Unfortunately the tin I have shown has seen better days.  The lid has some small rust spots. Anyway it gives you a good show. Hope you enjoy.

The buck jumping in the image is a Springbuck, and is found in the Western parts of our country.  "Bok" in the Afrikaans language means "Buck" which refers in general to Antelope.  The Springbuck is our "National Animal".
