I always thought that these were prewar, is that a date code or batch number in the left hand corner 3/50 ?.
I have always assumed , rightly or wrongly , that was a post-war sign , it has a fairly "modern " look to it . It would make yours 70 years old anyway , so it probably is a date code . Spratt's signs were made well into the 1950 's so why not these?
