Well to be fair Trix, I moved 30 mins outside the city to the country 5 years ago, so the snow is definitely worse out here than in the city, but this was a freak storm nonetheless. If you search for British Columbia flooding and mudslides, you'll see the devastation the same storm caused BC to the west of Alberta. All 4 highways in the lower mainland from BCs interior were wiped out, they are airlifting in supplies at the moment. Abbotsford, Princeton and Merritt hit worst !

I went to Edmonton in 2008 and it was freezing.
But the coldest place I’ve ever been in my life is Regina.

Yep, Regina can get cold alright, Winnipeg comes to mind too. Both very cold cities in Jan/Feb 🥶
