Bought this sign in the early 80ies in London at "Alfie´s in Church Road. Paid 200 GBP. Can anybody tell me about the maker`s mark?

I was just going to say something about the maker when you put on your last post! Really great little sign, but never heard of the makers before! And what does the 'R&J' stand for?

Here's a couple more.  A fifty size cigarette tin, and an early paper advert for Tabs, which I think was a windowbill.  The ITC number on this is 126, which puts it around 1905.

I bought this "coolie" lately. Does anyone have a date for that? I would have thought 1920's.

I would say 20's too. My father bought an example of this tin as one of his best antique fair finds for a few pounds. Never seen another until now.

Thanks for sharing Kjeld

brand has been around since at least 1907. think the tin might be late Edwardian........

An unusual ridged tin. I have a load of coolie cut plug form that haul up north about 10 years ago. A lot of that was 1905 - 1910 too.

The tash is a bit Edwardian too.
