The Sign shown below was once owned by me  -  I bought it in excellent condition - as you can see - only one area of damage, HOWEVER acid rain or Smog had eaten the faces away but had left a sort of shadow of what should be there - I took a 2b pencil and went over those shadows and achieved the result shown - i then varnished over them with clear varnish - that was 20 yrs ago and maybe that varnish is yellowed - i didn't do this for finacial gain  - just to see if I could   - i sold it on when I moved and told the new owner what i had done - he paid me £75 - that was 15 yrs ago ! but it may still be about.  just thought you should know.

Well I never ! What a co - incidence, It has travelled a long way and I see the faces have yellowed to a sort of sepia colour - i did think of colouring them - or indeed making them "Coloured" but as you see didn't and I recognise the artwork as mine !

Did you know when you bought it that they had been drawn in ?

i bought the sign in february 2006 for over 1000quid. I bought it from a guy called ray (new valley boy) on ebay -i was a bit dissappointed when it arrived but it has grown on me now and it looks great camoflaged in the collection--David
