Have started to photograph all the stuff as it comes in for the July SummerNational (july 2nd n 3rd) ...... please keep revisiting this thread as we throw loadsa advertising images on.

This is gonna include TWO sales this year (ALL items illustrated in full colour in the catalogue) and most everything WITHOUT reserve - plenty across the whole spectrum of advertising from cabinets, enamels, tins, packaging ..... and soooooooooo much more.

Stall bookings have, within the space of just one week, rapidly approached the half full stage - if you aint yet booked - best get yer skates on if you desire a specific location.

Never been to a Summernational but Team Cook will be coming this year - looks to be a couple of 'must have' tins in the auction.

A couple of questions:
1) Are people allowed in on Friday afternoons at an increased cost? That often happens at our local fair. I won't be there, but just to get an idea if any bargains will have gone by Saturday!!
2) What time does the actual fair open on the Saturday? And what time do non-dealers suggest is a good queueing-up start time?
3) How can I find out what is being auctioned on the Sat and what's being sold on the SUnday? We're only up for one day (at present!)

Cheers for any advice.

Cookster.

If you email my desktop cook jr will send you all the info.

You can't get in Friday, and NONE of the 40,000 sq ft of stallholders can set anything up until Sat morning - so you get in at 9am by the Market pub. The only ticket Saturday is a w/e pass @ £8. All visitors are given a free National Show guide as they enter the site - which also lists all inside & outside stallholders - plus adverts for what folk want to buy/ sell (@ £3 an entry).

Given the size and diversity of the lay-out the stallholders really have very very very little advantage in that getting all that lot in - you just have to be in the right place at the right time to snap up the bargains ..... You can get a breakfast from around 5.30am (turn L at the Milton pub - lovely little stone kitchen 100 yds on the left - spot the queues of collectors!!!!

There is a catalogue for BOTH sales (one catalogue) ALL items illustrated in full colour. £9 uk (or order the next 4 for £24 - means you get one free effectively). The Car Boot (Sunday only) is worth catching - but sounds like you will miss this fun bit, and the bargains too - if you can fight, or push harder than the person nexzt to you - lol!!

Any other questions put them in an email to my desktop: sales@onlinebbr.com. Will answer when I get back in the office Monday morning (back from sunny Cornwall).

Well, more great stuff in today - ANOTHER advertising chair, another good cabinet, pictorial enamels, fine pictorial showcards, a stunning Huntley & Palmers large size advertising figure.

Think Dave is off work until Tuesday - but will send him some shots ..........

The specialist advertising catalogue 'idea' is also gaining momentum withg much stuff promised - fresh to market, most all NO RESERVE >>>>>>>>>>>> a good year ahead for advertising folk by the looks of it ..... kicking off with the 2 SummerNational auctions, plus the promise of MORE to come?
